Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Business Development  – Solar & Energy Storage Solutions to drive business development and sales activities across the Middle East.

The role will focus on developing new business opportunities, strengthening relationships with key industry stakeholders, and promoting solar and energy storage solutions and services across the region. The successful candidate will contribute directly to the company’s bookings, revenue, and profitability objectives while representing the organization at key industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development and sales initiatives across the Middle East to achieve revenue, bookings, and profitability targets.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop new clients within the solar, renewable energy, and energy storage sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, partners, developers, and other key industry stakeholders.
• Understand customer requirements, identify challenges, and develop appropriate commercial and technical solutions.
• Lead and support customer negotiations, proposal development, contract discussions, and other commercial activities.
• Cross-sell the company’s multiple service offerings to existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to achieve regional sales and business growth objectives.
• Maintain a strong market presence and represent the company professionally across the Middle East.
• Participate in relevant solar and renewable energy conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, and industry events.
• Work closely with Marketing to maximize business opportunities generated through events and promotional activities.
• Monitor market developments and identify emerging opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends.
• Support continuous improvement of client experience and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, business ethics, quality, and workplace safety.
• Travel across the Middle East as required for client meetings, events, and business development activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in business development, sales, proposal development, project management, or a similar commercial role.
• Strong preference for candidates with experience in the solar, renewable energy, or energy storage industry.
• Good understanding of the Middle East renewable energy market and its key industry participants.
• Strong customer relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Commercially driven with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel across the Middle East based on business requirements.
