Job Summary

One of our clients is seeking an experienced Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) Lead Auditor for an ADEK-related project in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience conducting OSH compliance audits under the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System Framework (ADOSH-SF), along with appropriate Qudorat registration.

The role focuses on assessing regulatory compliance, reviewing safety management systems, identifying non-conformities, and preparing comprehensive audit reports.

Preference will be given to candidates with practical ADOSH-SF auditing experience rather than those with only general HSE operational experience.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, lead, and conduct Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) compliance audits in accordance with ADOSH-SF requirements.

Conduct OSH/SRA compliance audits, inspections, and management system assessments.

Evaluate compliance with applicable Abu Dhabi OSH regulations, standards, and project requirements.

Review safety policies, procedures, risk assessments, inspection records, and supporting documentation.

Identify non-conformities, compliance gaps, and potential occupational safety risks.

Prepare detailed, evidence-based audit reports, including findings, observations, and corrective action recommendations.

Review corrective action plans and verify the effective closure of audit findings.

Coordinate with project stakeholders, school management, and relevant teams during audit activities.

Ensure audits and reporting are completed within agreed project timelines.

Recommend improvements to strengthen OSH compliance and safety management practices.

Mandatory Requirements

Qudorat Registration: Must be registered on the Qudorat platform at an appropriate OSH practitioner level.

ADOSH-SF Experience: Strong working knowledge of the Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System Framework and its compliance requirements.

Hands-on Auditing Experience: Proven experience conducting OSH/SRA compliance audits, inspections, or management system audits against ADOSH-SF requirements.

Abu Dhabi Experience: Previous OSH/HSE auditing or regulatory compliance experience in Abu Dhabi is essential.

Audit Reporting: Demonstrated ability to review evidence, identify non-conformities, and prepare formal audit reports.

Communication Skills: Strong report-writing, analytical, and stakeholder communication skills.

Ability to conduct independent audits and deliver accurate reports within project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent auditing qualification.

NEBOSH Diploma, NEBOSH IGC, or equivalent HSE qualification.

Previous OSH auditing experience in schools, nurseries, educational institutions, or similar institutional environments.

Familiarity with ADEK-related health and safety compliance requirements.

Important Selection Criteria:

Candidates must demonstrate actual experience conducting audits against ADOSH-SF requirements, including reviewing compliance evidence, identifying non-conformities, and preparing formal audit reports.

Candidates whose experience is limited to routine HSE operations, site safety supervision, or general safety inspections without formal compliance auditing exposure may not be suitable for this position.

Education-sector auditing experience will be an added advantage.
