ES Engineer -MEA

Scope/Purpose of the role:

The Project Engineer will support the Building & Construction business by overseeing all aspects of code compliance and guiding clients through every stage of product development, testing, and certification, with a particular focus on passive fire protection products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end from product sampling, witnessing testing and manufacturing processes, to preparing final certification documentation  while ensuring all deliverables are completed within the client’s budgeted timelines covering MEA region and beyond.

Essential Functions

Conduct research on building codes and relevant product standards to ensure compliance requirements are fully understood.

Develop product evaluation plans based on research findings and project needs.

Assume end-to-end responsibility for assigned projects, including:

• Communicating with clients regarding building codes, test standards, test preparation, testing procedures, results, and reporting requirements.
• Coordinating product sampling, testing activities, and inspection requirements.
• Preparing and writing certification documents required to obtain approvals.
• Representing company and participating in industry, technical, and standards committee meetings.

Education

• B.S. Degree in Engineering or closely related field of physical science

Experience

• Knowledge of fire testing standards, including ASTM, NFPA, UL, EN and BS standards, building design and construction, and modern construction materials and methods
• Knowledge of construction material characteristics and applications, manufacturing techniques, supply sources and engineering principles
• Technical competence to effectively communicate test procedures, specifications, and results with customers while possessing skills in diplomacy conducive to working with clients through technically challenging compliance issues
• Capability of working both individually and within a team.
