MEP Estimator / MEP Quantity Surveyor

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in an MEP contracting company in the UAE or India.
• Experience in MEP estimation and quantity surveying for Mechanical and/or Electrical works.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting and electrical systems.
• Ability to study tender documents, specifications, drawings and BOQs.
• Expertise in quantity take-off and preparation of detailed cost estimates.
• Experience in preparing BOQs, rate analysis, material take-offs and cost breakdowns.
• Ability to obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Knowledge of UAE market rates, material costs and MEP specifications.
• Experience in preparing tender submissions and commercial proposals.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel and estimation-related software.
• Good analytical, negotiation and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and BOQs.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for mechanical and electrical MEP works.
• Estimate material, labour, equipment and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare cost estimates, rate analysis and tender quotations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Evaluate supplier quotations and prepare comparison statements.
• Identify discrepancies, missing items and variations in tender documents.
• Coordinate with the Project, Procurement and Commercial teams for technical and commercial clarifications.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tenders and quotations.
• Maintain estimation records and cost databases.
