MEP Engineer

Job Purpose

To supervise, coordinate, and execute mechanical MEP works at project sites, ensuring that HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems are installed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical MEP site activities, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting works.
• Ensure all mechanical installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable UAE standards.
• Review and interpret MEP drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and Civil, Electrical, and other project teams to ensure smooth execution of works.
• Monitor site manpower, material availability, installation progress, and work schedules.
• Coordinate with consultants and clients for site inspections, approvals, and technical clarifications.
• Prepare and submit material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and progress reports.
• Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical MEP systems.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and site coordination challenges.
• Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, UAE safety standards, and approved work procedures.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned works.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in an MEP contracting company in the UAE or India.
• Practical experience in mechanical MEP works, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and firefighting systems.
• Good knowledge of MEP drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and material submittals.
• Experience in site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Ability to prepare method statements, inspection requests, and site progress reports.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and site teams.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage site activities independently.
• Ability to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
