Electrical Engineer (MEP Contracting)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in an MEP contracting company in the UAE or India.
• Strong knowledge of electrical MEP systems, including power distribution, lighting, small power, cable containment, earthing and ELV systems.
• Experience in electrical installation, execution, testing and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of BOQ, material submittals, technical submissions and method statements.
• Experience in coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors and other project teams.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to supervise site activities and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily electrical MEP site activities.
• Ensure electrical installations are carried out as per approved drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil and other project teams.
• Monitor manpower, materials and project progress.
• Coordinate with consultants and clients for inspections, approvals and technical clarifications.
• Review electrical drawings and identify site discrepancies.
• Ensure proper testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Prepare daily progress reports and ensure timely completion of assigned works.
