About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consumer Debit Card Operations Professional to support and optimize the issuer’s consumer debit card portfolio. This is a client-embedded, hands-on role where the selected candidate will work as an extension of the issuer’s card business team, focusing on portfolio performance, transaction optimization, operational efficiency, and customer engagement.

The role requires strong analytical, operational, and stakeholder management skills to identify opportunities that drive debit card usage, transaction growth, and portfolio profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze debit card portfolio performance, transaction trends, and customer behavior. 
  • Identify and track opportunities to optimize debit card transaction volumes, activation, usage, and customer engagement. 
  • Support the execution of portfolio growth initiatives, campaigns, and strategic projects. 
  • Prepare regular performance reports, dashboards, and business insights for management. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams, payment networks, technology, operations, risk, and marketing teams to implement enhancement initiatives. 
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure timely delivery of optimization projects. 
  • Conduct portfolio reviews and recommend actions to improve transaction activity and customer retention. 
  • Support product enhancements, process improvements, and operational efficiencies within the debit card business. 
  • Assist in business planning, forecasting, and performance reviews. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, card scheme guidelines, and internal policies. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • 6–8 years of experience in cards business, debit card operations, card portfolio management, or payments. 
  • Strong understanding of consumer debit card products, transaction lifecycle, and card operations. 
  • Experience working with card performance analytics, MIS reporting, and portfolio optimization initiatives. 
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar). 
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 
  • Experience working with banks, issuers, card schemes, or payment service providers is preferred.
