A leading entity in Abu Dhabi, that serves the Power and Energy industry (Oil and Gas) representing various famous brands in the UAE, for both mechanical and electrical products. and a well established company with more than 40 years’ of experience in the market is seeking a highly motivated Technical Sales Engineer for to lead the Electrical division sales. The electrical portfolio includes MV/ HV Switch gear, UPS, Transformers, battery banks, battery chargers, protection panels, alternators etc.

The ideal candidate should possess expertise in electrical capital goods like transformers, switchgears, and UPS and be proficient in electrical engineering, able to effectively communicate the technical benefits of their company products, as well to discuss commercial and secure and close orders. 

Key deliverables:

Reporting to Sales Manager, the position is a critical role in the organization that caters to the oil and gas as well as other major industrial sectors in Abu Dhabi and UAE.

Develop business with End Users and EPCs. Achieve individual sales targets.

Manage the electrical sales team, and ensure they achieve their targets and accomplish their tasks.

Follow major projects announced in  Abu Dhabi, and UAE, especially from Oil and Gas as well as power sector, to identify opportunities for the company and generate enquiries.

Research and work on enquiries, prepare tenders and follow up quotations.

The position requires a go-getter to achieve action plan goals for products and services, identify possibilities, drive development, and provide necessary organizational returns.

Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and competitive landscapes.

Provide accurate sales forecast and market intelligence to management on a timely manner.

Build and improve relations with each supplier and partners.

Build and improve relations with key personnel from clients and end users.

Collaborate with the technical team to craft customized proposals that align with client requirements.

Should be able to handle sales process from sourcing to post order handling.

Should independently conduct site surveys and inspection for estimation of site integration work of MV/HV Switchgear, protection relay replacement, UPS, etc.

Should have the exposure and capability to take up assignments at site, both onshore and offshore for business development of electrical assets

Maintain and update sales database and ERP software on a timely basis.

Always follow highest ethical standards and values in business and show commitment to health and safety.

Ability to manage a team

 Qualifications:

A senior electrical engineer with at least 14 years techno commercial experience in Abu Dhabi oil and Gas market, preferably having excellent network within the operations (ADNOC) and EPC contractors as well as with end users from Abu Dhabi Oil and Gas clients, power plants etc.

Should have had handled sales of electrical capital goods

Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Computer literacy and capability to deliver product presentations to multiple levels in client organization.

Service/ Technical exposure on electrical assets like switch gear, UPS, Transformer, etc. preferred, but not mandatory. How ever the incumbent should have excellent technical knowledge of the products handled.

Has experience in managing a team
